Kilowatt DC Regulated Supplies - SP Series
 
The Special Purpose - SP Series is specifically designed, keeping in mind the expectations of end user for simulation of battery characteristics through provision of Droop setting facility. The series has been evolved for the purpose of testing of battery operated equipment, as well as Motors. Certain equipment/motors draw very high current during startup, thereby dropping the terminal voltage of the battery, due to its internal resistance. The series can deliver very high inrush current without tripping, due to Re-entrant type characteristics. As the inrush current starts falling, the output voltage starts building up and reaches the set level.
